Internet Governance Forum 2026

The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2026 brings together global and regional leaders, civil society advocates, technical experts, and policymakers to discuss the urgent issues shaping our digital world. Hosted in Nairobi, Kenya, in a dynamic hybrid format, IGF 2026 serves as an open platform for collaborative debate on how to sustain a trustworthy, resilient, and inclusive internet. Digital Shield Africa will actively participate and host key sessions focused on Africa’s unique digital landscape. As digital spaces expand across the continent, communities face growing challenges ranging from network disruptions and arbitrary internet shutdowns to unchecked cyber threats and the rapid deployment of unregulated AI systems. Our interventions will spotlight practical, grassroots-driven solutions that protect human rights while fostering technological innovation.
